Actually, the husband of an old friend gave me that piece of advice after a particularly brutal break-up...I was dating men from the personals who lived too far away.
Guess what? He was right! I met and married a wonderful, beautiful man who lived within 10 miles from my home...I think it was more like 4 miles or something. So, hang in there ladies and gents. Keep your eyes peeled at the local coffee shop.
